Submit Your Event to the NM Spirit Statewide Calendar
From village plazas to museums and city centers, the NM Spirit Statewide Calendar showcases how communities across New Mexico are coming together to honor our history, culture, and shared future. This calendar is your gateway to discovering celebrations, educational programs, cultural events, and civic activities happening throughout the Semi-Quincentennial year and an opportunity to share your own.
Submit Your Event
Organizations, community groups, tribes, schools, museums, libraries, and individuals are invited to submit events through our event submission form. Once submitted, each event will enter a brief approval process to ensure it aligns with the mission and themes of the New Mexico Semi-Quincentennial Commission.
Approved events will appear on the statewide calendar for New Mexicans everywhere to explore and attend.
How to Submit an Event
- Complete the Submission Form
Provide the event title, date, location, description, host organization, and any relevant links. - Include a Clear Event Description
Explain how your event connects to New Mexico’s history, culture, or the spirit of the 250th commemoration. - Upload Optional Images or Flyers
Visuals help promote your event on the statewide calendar. - Submit for Review
The Commission will review your submission and notify you via email once approved or if additional information is needed.
Event Eligibility & Approval Criteria
To qualify for inclusion on the NM Spirit Statewide Calendar, events must:
- Align with at least one of the Commission’s themes, such as:
- Common Ground & Historical Identity
- Histories of Independence
- New Mexico’s Contribution
- Historical Reflection & Progress
- Be open to the public (free or ticketed).
- Reflect New Mexico’s cultural, historical, educational, or community spirit.
- Promote respectful engagement across diverse communities.
- Take place within New Mexico and occur during the Semi-Quincentennial period through July 2027.
Examples of eligible events include cultural celebrations, lectures, workshops, festivals, exhibitions, performances, commemorations, youth programs, art installations, and community gatherings.
After You Submit
- Your event will be reviewed within a short timeframe.
- Approved events will be added to the NM Spirit Statewide Calendar and visible to the public.
- You may be contacted if clarification or additional details are needed.
